1,000 kronor is still quite a lot of money, but if you break it down, you don't actually get a lot for a thousand kronor. Many everyday things quickly add up to larger sums, and to put it into perspective for one of the most expensive things you can own, a car, we've taken a closer look at this.

Latte

A typical Swede drives between 1,000 and 1,500 kilometers per year, according to insurance companies. Assuming that a typical diesel or gasoline-powered car uses about 0.5 to 0.6 liters per kilometer and that fuel costs around 15 to 18 kronor, it costs just over a thousand kronor to fill up the car every month.
