You also increase your risk of aquaplaning and skidding. Since there are legal limits \u2013 you also risk fines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How often should tires be replaced?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A tire wears approximately 1-2 mm per season. Depending on mileage and surface. A simple answer is that you can expect to change it every 4-5 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If we just look at the rubber, a tire can definitely last 5-10 years, but you often have time to wear down the tire&#039;s tread depth before that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How many miles can I drive on one set of tires?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Approximately 4,000-5,000 km. Simply put \u2013 before the tread depth wears down. It varies with the quality of the tire, the undercarriage and driving style. Nowadays, cash is rarer \u2013 so what do we do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A simple trick is to use your own driver&#039;s license! Hopefully, it&#039;s something you always have with you \u2013 at least if you&#039;re by your car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do you do it?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bring your driver&#039;s license.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Put it down in the pattern on the tire<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How many of the three lines of text on the driver&#039;s license are visible?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What if the deck hides all three rows?<\/strong> So you have a lot left.
